Show -I s ! j HIGH SCHOOL NOTES By Reporter. The first basketball game of the season will be staged tomorrow, Friday, Fri-day, evening at the auditorium, starting start-ing at 7:30. The game wil be between Manti and the Gunnison high school hoopsters and will be one of the preseason pre-season bouts. The league games will not start until after the Thanksgiving holidays. Intensive practice work is now the program of the locals. New material has been added to the physics laboratory and the science de- partment is rapidly gaining a prominent promin-ent place because of the completeness of the apparatus. New linoleum, attractive curtains, potted ferns and plants have been placed in the main office, which adds much to the comfort and attractiveness. attractive-ness. The shop boys are busy making benches for the shower rooms. The rooms have been equipped with new fixtures for the regulation of the hot and cold water. The election of a news reporter will take place Friday at 2 o'clock. The candidates are Miss Marie Gledhill and Miss Naomi Christense n. N. C. Hanks, the famous lecturer, will give a talk before the students of the grades and high school today at j 2:30. The public is invited to be present pres-ent and hear his inspiring lectures. I |
