Show James C. Neilson Dies at Salt Lake James C. Nielson, a native of Centerfield Cen-terfield and widely known through Southern Utah, died at his home at Salt Lake City last Monday, following follow-ing a week's illness. Mr. Nielson was stricken with typhoid and at first his case was not alarming. However, typhoid ulcers developed and it was necessary to perform an operation. With the advanced stage of the affliction afflic-tion and the weakened condition of the patient, the operation was too severe and the life of Mr. Nielson passed away. He was surrounded by ; his family and some of his relatives, I who had been called to the bedside. ! All through his life the deceased had j enjoyed splendid health and was robust ro-bust and hearty when he was stricken and the sudden death will prove a shock to his hundreds of friends. Some three years ''ater he and his wife went to Salt Lake and for the past twelve years Mr. Nielson had served effi- ciently and honestly as conductor for j the street car company. He was widely wide-ly known at the capitol city by the thousands of passengers he met and ' he was regarded as one of the com- pany's efficient employes. j Besides the widowed wife, Mr. Nielson is survived by two brothers, Chas. C. Nielson of Centerfield, and Joseph E. Neilson of Falls City, Idaho, and three sisters, Mrs. C. M. Madsen of Gunnison, Mrs. A. E. Christensen of Jerome, Idaho, " and Mrs. B. A. Huges of Salt Lake City. Mr. Nielson was a member of the . L. D .S. church, having joined when a young man. i Funeral services were held at Salt Lake Tuesday afternoon and yester- day the body was brought to Gunnison. Gunni-son. Services will be held here also ; at the Relief society hall Friday afternoon af-ternoon at one o'clock. Burial will 1 be at the Gunnison cemetery. |
