Show County Gives G. 0. P. Ticket Big Majority r- Sanpete county cast an unusually large vote at Tuesday's election, elec-tion, and as a result the county remains in the republican column, the victors carrying the county by nearly 1 150 votes. Gunnison enjoys the unique distinction of having put over one of the successful candidates can-didates Joseph Christensen candidate for the two year county commissioner on the republican ticket. Mr. Christensen was elected over Mr. Swalberg by nearly 900 votes. A. E. Park, democratic candidate for county attorney from this city, was defeated by L. R. Christensen, the republican nominee from Mt. Pleasant by over 900 votes. A. W. Jensen, running for district attorney on the republican ticket, is in danger of being defeated, according to reports received here this morning. Jensen polled 3052 votes in Sanpete county, as against 2 765 by Fred Keller, democratic nominee. However, it was reported today that Jensen was running short both in Carbon and Grand counties and that the chances for Keller's election were good. George Christensen, democratic nominee, was successful, beating beat-ing his opponent, B. W. Dalton with a safe majority. The total vote in the county for La Follette was 381, that of Coolidge 3374, while Davis received 2230. The following is the tabulation of the vote for Sanpete county: t1 x:jf !
