Show I Y. L. CO.YFERE.YCE. Lurcely Attended Meeting; Held Sulidnj Artcniooii and ETenlng. (CommunlcHtcd.) The Conference of the V. L. JI. I. A. was held in the Tabernacle Sunday, Sun-day, Sept. 9. On the stand were the presidency of the associations, also President Clawson and Counsellors. President iM. J. Snow presided. Singing- Prayer by Counsellor Kelly. Singing. Sacrament administered ad-ministered by the priesthood of the Second Ward. President E. S. Taylor of Salt Lake City, asked, is there anything of more vital importance to paren s than to have the principles of eternal etern-al salvation instilled into the minds of the children? Dwelt at length on the duties of both purer ts and children. Gave some good and wise counsel to all. Advised fche pirld to raise their standard higher. Let your example be that of purity and holiness. A vocal selection was given by Miss Lottie Jensen. I Sister Maria Y. Dougall said she I was proud of the young ladies of the Boxelder Stake. Trusted they would wake up to a realization of their duties as members of the M. I. A. Called the attention of the 1 parents to their girls. Set thorn ' good examples. Every blessing we j receive is predicted upon our faith- f dness. President M J. Snow rehearsed briefly her experience in presiding for the last twenty years. Com pared the present systematic plan with that of the first organization, S id her labors have cost her a great amount of care. Tendered her resignation, which was accepted. ac-cepted. Stake President Clawson spoke a f:w moments on the situation of Boxelder Stake as a whole and thought that our visitors were well pleased with our present prospects. pros-pects. He then proceeded to effect a reorganization as follows: Minnie Loveland Snow, President; 1st Counsellor, Emma Vance; 2nd Counsellor, Sophy Valentine; Reed. Secretary, Ray Evans; Cor. Secy., Lillje Plorslcy, All were unanimously unani-mously sustained. Singing. Benediction Bene-diction by Jeppa Jeppson. PVENTNG SESSION. Sister Minnie J. Snow presided. Choir sang. Prayer by David Booth. Singing. Roll called. Sister Susy Y. Gates was the first speaker. She drew some beautiful pictures showing the benefit's to be derived by having pure thoughts and actions, and living in accordance therewith. Said if this was neglected it would bring sorrow. Her remarks were listened to with rapt attention. A duet and chorus wad then rjndertd by Ameljq. Graehl and others. Sister Mattic Tin gey addressed ad-dressed the audience intelligently on purity and virtue. Sister Tin-gey Tin-gey also spoke at the afternoon session on the same subject. She-is She-is a wise counsellor to the young and gave them such things as will help them if adhered to. Altogether Alto-gether it was a very interesting conference, The choir sang an anthem.
