Show Manti Quint Cops Christmas Game Without doubt the Gunnison Giants, Gi-ants, the crack local basket ball quint, overindulged in turkey Christmas Christ-mas day. When the "big boys" faced the Manti quint at the high school auditorium Christmas night, they seemed unable to "get over." with the result that the temple city lads walked away with the honors, the score being 32 points for Manti and 20 points for the Giants. Childs and Mortensen, who are usually "in the collar" for real action, acknowledged they had partaken freely of turkey and plum pudding, were out of form and their headway was barred. However, How-ever, both of the players landed six points each, while their fellow players play-ers rounded out the eight additional points. Allred, playing center for the Manti team, was the outstanding "rioter" of the evening. He was in fine form and out of the 32 points he was credited with gaining 13, through his clever defensive and offensive of-fensive stunts. Following is the score: ., MANTI G. T. F. P.
