Astride the Canadian border at Blaine, Wash., is a great peace arch, celebrating a hundred years of friendly friend-ly relations between Canada and the United States. On the architrave of the monument are carved the words, "Children of a Common Mother," to perpetuate the Idea of the triangular relationship between be-tween England and her two American offspring. |
