Show High School Notes. The sophomore dance given on last Saturday night: proved to be one of the social events of the season. A large crowd attended, many coming from tho surrounding towns. The decorations in the class colors were very effective and the refreshments enjoyed by all. The sophomores are ploasod that I his dance proved a great success, for it is the last dance to be given by them this year. The program furnished by the freshman class at the student body meeting on last Friday was as follows: fol-lows: Tiano solo Thelma Olsen Reading Sidonia Chrlstenson Solo' Mrs. Larsen Song William Brownslein j On Friday of last week an inter- class track meet was held at the baseball park. Contests of running, throwing and jumping were held. The freshman class won the most points, while the juniors came in second sec-ond and sophomores third. It is hoped in the near future to hold an inter-class tennis tournament as well I as baseball and volley ball contests. The fly campaign has been postponed post-poned for a few weeks on account, of the cold -weather. There will be u display of fly traps, fly swatters and poison containers in the window of the Ag. room. There is a total of about 4 0 traps made by the boys, besides the number made by the Centerfield Cen-terfield boys in the eighth grade. The boys from Washington school are invited to make traps at the high school when they want to. I. P.. Ball, supervisor of agriculture agricul-ture of the state board of education, visited the high school on Tuesday to outline plans for summer work in projects in agriculture by the boys. A two-scene farce entitled "Doing Its Bit" will be staged the same night as the play entitled "Pros and Cons." Roy Madsen has written the play, and it is to be played to depict the growth and present condition of thc-high thc-high school. The cast of characters has not been .hesen vet. but will be in the near future. The "Ag" boys are contemplating on taking a trip through the" state before school is out. |
