Show Road Bonds Carry By Five to One Votes Noes Have Majority In Only Two Districts Dist-ricts In County Axtell Casts a 100 Per Cent Vote. With a vote of nearly five to one the progressive citizens of Sanpete county voted last Tuesday to issue county road bonds to the amount of $280,000 for the completion of the Pigeon IIollow-Manti project, for the building of other roads throughout the county, and for the establishment establish-ment of the Arrowhead trail through the county, and also for the determination deter-mination of falling in line with other progressive counties through-of through-of the county has a contest been more eagerly watched, and while the advocates have been aggressive in the campaign, their interests were never endangered by those who opposed op-posed progression. Only two districts in the county showed a majority vote in opposition to the issuance of the bonds. Fair-view, Fair-view, in the northeastern part of the county, divided her vote, giving 64 for and 64 against. Spring City turned the bonds down, voting G2 for as against 54 for. Inianola with only 8 votes oast, gave 3 for and 5 against the bonds. With returns complete from all voting precincts throughout the county the results show 1,680 fof the bonds with 360 against. Axtell, one of the progressive settlements set-tlements in the extreme southern part of the county, established a most enviable record, and cast a 100 per cent vote for the bonds. While only 19 votes were cast at Axtell, the district being small, there was not a dissenting vote cast for the progressive pro-gressive move. The vote in Gunnison, considering the form of election, was well represented, repre-sented, and workers for the bonds left nothing undone to pile up "yes" votes. Out of the 179 votes cast in this city, 173 were in favor of the bonds. Six, however, voted against the bonds but Gunnison will go ahead just the same. The election in Gunnison was very quiet, excepting for the activities of the supporters of the bonds. With a strong organization organiza-tion perfected and ready to convince any who were skeptical relative to the issuance of the bonds, the workers work-ers did yeoman service, and a few doubtful ones were directed the right way. At Centerfield 20 voters opposed the bond issue, while only 5 7 gave affirmative votes. Fayette and May-field, May-field, both gave majority votes for the bonds, and altogether the south end of the county heartily endorsed the improvements of the county highways.
