Show Farmers Will Ask Slididing Scale Fourteen of the seventeen locals of j the farm bureaus of the county were j represented at a meeting held in j Manti Wednesday afternoon of last week, and many questions concerning the welfare of the members of the associations were taken up and broadly discussed. Primay among the problems and questons discussed were the beet contracts for the year 1923. After considerable discussion it was voted, unanimously to stand for the sliding scale contract with a $6 minimum rate and a 48-52 division di-vision of the sugar proceeds. A reorganization campaign was planned and it was decided to have the work completed in the locals and the county organization by the end of this month. The campaign will be launched tomorrow and will be pushed with a vfm. In addition to urging the farmers to reorganize it is proposed to start locals for the women throughout the tounty and an endeavor will be made to have more locals at which the fairer sex will be the rulers. ; Encouragement was given rela-: rela-: tive to the livestock feeding business busi-ness and the countv aeent outlined the future outlook for the industry and the present and future market conditions.
