Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. EIRay Christiansen the several committees that will buckle in, with the aid of the citizens citi-zens and all classes and denominations, denomina-tions, were named to put the affair over and make it a success from every standpoint. It is to be the fisrt communily Christmas tree ever had in -the city and 'the committees that have been n-.med have declared that nothing will be left undone to make the first attempt a crowning success. But with tho committees must be the spirit of cooperation and it will be up to every person in thc city to lend all the possible aid. Willi the new ornamental lighting system just completed, the joliflca-tion joliflca-tion will have a dual purpose the Christmas tree and community singing sing-ing to celebrate the yuletide season, and the dedication of the community improvement through the installation of the lighting system. While ie arrangements for the Community Christmas tree are yet in the preliminary stage, the several committees named are now hard at work and from the activitiy being shown and from the expressions of the business men to get squarely back of the movement, it is an assured as-sured fact that the city's first attempt, at-tempt, will be crowned with success. Attorney C. M. Edwards was named at the meeting held at the home of Mrs. Christiansen last Tuesday Tues-day night, to head the general committee. com-mittee. Fred IT.
