Show IN CHARGE OF HEADQUARTERS National Adjutant, Man From State o Washington, Has Seen Much Military Service. Lemuel L. Bolles, national adjutant of the American Legion, is in charge of f $ 7 national headquarters head-quarters of the American Legion a t Indianapolis. He is a native of Minneapolis. He was horn in Minneapolis Min-neapolis on August Au-gust 21, 1SS5, attended at-tended c o m m o n school there and t h e MacAlIlster Academy at St. Paul. He moved to Washington in 1004 and graduated from the University of Washington Law school. I'rom 1007 to 1015 he was employed em-ployed by the First National bank of North Yakima, and was assistant ad-justant ad-justant general of Ihe state of Washington Wash-ington from June, 101G, to September, 1017. Mr. Bolles served In all grades in Company E, 2nd Infantry, of the Washington Wash-ington National Guard from Seplem-ber, Seplem-ber, 1001, to 1014, and commanded that company from 1011 to 1014. He was called into federal service with Ihe Washington National Guard In September, Sep-tember, 1017. and joined Ihe 41st division divi-sion at Camp Greene, N. C, wllh which division he went overseas In December, Decem-ber, 1017, and served as a lieutenant colons" an the general staff of the First corps from May 1, 101S, to March :i. 1010. On his return to the United Slates in July, 1010, he was discharged from the service, and was requested by the national executive committee to assist in the organization of the American Legion In the preparation for the Minneapolis Min-neapolis convention on the staff at national na-tional headquarters. Mr. Belles one of the original delegates to th" Paris caucus of the American Legion last March. |
