Show High School ftotes. The preliminaries ot' the oratorical contest took place (last Thursday. Those trying out were Blaine Per-'ins, Per-'ins, Ethel Jensen, Laura Ferre, it ice Pierce and Mable E. Larsen. The judges were Mr. Christiansen, Mr. Frisuknect and Mr. Bardsley. Our school spirit was manifest in the speeches and the school is well pleased with the contest, so far. al- though more contestants would be desirable. All of those who tried will be given, a chance at the final, a date for which has not yet been determined. de-termined. The freshmen program, Friday, consisted of the following numbers: Song by Calpernia Chrislensen, piano solo by Deone Halverson, and jokes by Tursell Childs. The Junior Prom last Friday evening, eve-ning, proved a remarkable success. The hall was beautifully decorated with green and pink, rose garden ef-iccts. ef-iccts. Easy seats were provided for j those who did not care to dance. The J Jurgo crowd enjoyed a good lime and 1 the Prom took its place as the lead-j lead-j itig social event of the year. |
