Show Presidential Powers. The president of the United States is by Article II, Section II of the Constitution, Con-stitution, commander-in-chief pi the army and navy and of the militia of the several states when called Into the actual service of the United States. Under his general power as commander-in-chief he can order the army and navy anywhere he will, when necessary, neces-sary, to protect the rights of American Ameri-can citizens and their property, or to see that the laws are executed faithfully. |
