Kings Winner In Game at Manti Dick Daly's aggregation of hall players proved "easy picking" Tor Manager June's Sugar Kings in tro league game at -Manti Wednesday af ternoon. Perhaps ihe defeat can he accounted for hy the fact that it was League and playing with 'real fellers" fel-lers" got a bit "fussed up". Or it may have been that the Kings were the superiors. At any rate the Kings walked away with the game by a score of 13 to 4. Twelve men figured in the playing for Manti, but the many changes had little effect, and the slugging and running of the Kings could not be checked. Lee Pace, for the Kings, perched a "hoodoo" on the shoulders of the countyseaters by his clever pitching. His performance was one of the clever ones of the season and during the nine innings he only allowed al-lowed six scattering hits, struck out nine men and walked three. Of the four runs scored by Mr.nti, only one was earned. Through two errors credited to Gunnison two men were placed on the bases. Rudeen, playing play-ing first for Manti bounced one deep in the garden and scored a homer, bringing in the two on bases. Francis Gillespie, who has been transferred from Salina to Manti, pitched the game for the Countyseat-ors. Countyseat-ors. Gillispie had an off day and poor support. The Kings in making their 13 runs secured 17 hits, one being a 3 bagger by Dick Pace and two 2 base hits by Sanders and Sor-enson. Sor-enson. The first run made by the Kings was a steal to home plate by Manager Jones. Following is the score: GUXNISOX R H E D. Pace, 3b 2 3 0 Jones, cf 2 3 0 Sanders, 2b 1 2 0 Sorenson, rf 2 1 0 E.
