Show Manti Plans Big 24th Celebration Manti is offering a splendid sport card and plenty of amusement next Monday and Tuesday in celebration of the coming of the pioneers to Utah. The big and main feature will be the Dalton's Rodeo, at the county seat for two clays. The Dalton Rodeo has just closed a successful engagement engage-ment in the eastern part of the state, and press comments are to the effect ef-fect that the aggregation is one of the cleverest exhibiting in the west. There will be broncho riding, roping, races, bulldoging a wild steer from an automobile and many other thrilling thrill-ing and daring western cowboy stunts. A 12-year-old, famed as'a phenomenal cowboy, gives an exhibition, exhibi-tion, and this one card will be worth seeing. On the opening day, Monday, the cowboys who are to participate in the riding events will give a spectacular parade. On Tuesday, in addition to a big racing card, a match game of baseball between the Mant,i team and a team from the Southern Utah league will be played. The game will be called at 1:30 p. m., and at 3 o'clock broncho busting, trick riding and other events will he staged. Ed Fisher and Lee Walker, two of the cleverest cowboys in the west, will be the star performers at the Rodeo at the city park. Extensive plans have been made by the several committees having the big event in hand and those who visit Manti during the two-day celebration will be assured of a big time and plenty of amusement. |
