Show Mayfield Doings. (Special Correspondence.) Mayfield, Jan. 5. Last Wednesday Wednes-day evening Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Scow, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Manwill and Conrad Scow entertained at a dancing and card party. The affair, which was one of the social features of the season, was held at the home of Mrs. Clarence Scow, annd one hundred hun-dred guests were present. A most delightful time was enjoyed by those present. Luncheon was served at 11 o'clock. TheMisses Ruby Nielson and Ruth Madsen were holiday visitors here last week. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson entertained Monday evening of last week at a big Christmas supper. The banquet was given in honor of the i children and grandchildren of the host and hostess. Miss Rhoda Scow entertained Thursday evening of last week in honor of her anniversary. Twenty-live Twenty-live guests were present. The evening eve-ning was spent in dancing, fun making mak-ing and general good, time. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served at 10:30. Out of town guests were Miss Ruth Madsen and Miss Ruby Nielson of Manti. Miss Tressie Jenson entertained seventeen of her friends at a party Wednesday evening of last week. Cards and other games were played and highly enjoyed by those present. Refreshments were served at a late hour. Mrs. Wallace Thompson is spending spend-ing the Christmas holidays with friends at Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby girl at their home. The little lady arrived New Year's morning and it is claimed that this is the only baby born in south Sanpete county on the great natal day. Russell Rasmussen and Melvin Jensen spent the holidays with friends at Fairview. Ellwood Anderson is confined to his home suffering from a severe case of heart trouble. His condition at last reports was said to be very seri- ous. ' Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Bosen returned re-turned to their home in Preston, Ida., last week. They were the holiday holi-day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Scow. Hyrum Christensen, who expects to leave shortly on a mission, was given a farewell dancing party Friday Fri-day of last week. Leseter Williams of Axtell spent the Christinas dav with friends In Mayfield. |
