Show SUCCESSFUL MEETING The Ladies Missionary society of the Presbyterian church of Gunnison held a successful meeting at the chapel Tuesday afternoon of this week. Mrs. H. W. Cherry, president of the society, had charge of the exercises and after the preliminary opening a chapter from the new study book, "The Child and America's Future," was read. The Light Bearer's Bear-er's Band began the study of "Fifty Missionary Heroes," comprising short biographies. The meeting closed with a short program by members of the Light Bearer's band, after which a social hour was spent. Tempting refreshments were served by Mrs. H. A. Kearns and Mrs. Ellen Hof-heins. Hof-heins. Out-of-town visitors were Mrs. W. B. McCormick and daughter of Salt Lake and Misses Rilla Kearns and Dorris Ainsworth of San Francisco. |
