Show OBSERVATIONS (By A Crab) I observe that some work is being done on the roads south of Manti and that when beet hauling is over some will be done on the roads south of Gunnison. I observe that the work done south of Centerfield has much to do with the contentment of the farmers and the travelers. I observe that many farmers are unfamiliar with the laws regulating traffic. "Keep to the right of the road," the law says. Some with beet wagons and three houses keep the middle of the road. I observed that coming from Richfield Rich-field recently six cars traveling after dark without lights. I observe that many are deaf or refuse to regard the signal of the horns. i I observe that the speed limit is daily broken in Gunnison. This means that some day there will be a slow procession and some little child or one advanced in years will be in the front wagon. It is best to stop the speeding on our Main street. . I observe that all well maintained cities have regulations in turning corners on busy streets. Gunnison has no such regulations enforced. Do it today. I observe that the lesson published when the parking ordinance was passed has been forgotten. Most any old way of parking suits a great many car-drivers. Tag 'em Mr. Marshal. I observe that Sevier county is to have hard surface paving next year, notwithstanding this fact the roads are kept in tip-top shape. , I observe that roads through Gunnison Gun-nison and south are full of chuck-holes chuck-holes and very disagreeable to go over. A load of gravel now and then well spread would cost but little and would give us good roads. |
