Show WASHINGTON SCHOOL NOTES. ! (By Fontella Ferre.) The Washington school Arbor day program consisted of programs In the respective rooms from 8 until 10 a.m., after which the grounds im mediately surrounding the school building were cleaned and put in order, In the afternoon trees aud shrubbery were planted at home, and a bail game was played at Centerfield between the Washington and Lincoln school teams The eighth grade made the most perfect record in punctuality and attendance at-tendance for the week ending Friday, April 9th. A party was held in the Royal Neighbors' hall Friday night in honor of Mont Harmon of the sixth grade. His pupils were instrumental in planning the affair. The ball team plays Maytleld, at May field on Friday, April 16th. The ball game played at the local park one week ago by Gunnison and Sterling was won by the fromer by the score'of 18 to i. Our ball team leads the South San-petedivision. San-petedivision. We will hope to be at the top of the percentage column when the season closes. The "Star" class will hold its regular regu-lar meeting on next Thursday night April 22, at 8 o'clock in the usual place. The following parts are' on the program: Talk by John Redington.
