Show TIN CANS MUST GO. Tomorrow (Saturday) will be observed ob-served as "Tin Can" day in Gunnison. All school children of the Washington Washing-ton school may enter. Thirteen prizes will be awarded as follows: Grand prize, $1.00; second prize, 150; third and fourth prizes, each 50c; fifth to thirteenth prizes, each 25c The following rules will govern the contest: 1 . Tin cans will not be counted which have been taken from garbage piles on the outskirts of the city. 2. Contestants must present to the officials in charge a written statement state-ment of all places, city lots and streets where tin cans were gathered. 3. All cans muse be delivered at the church lot immediately east of the Washington school building on, Saturday, April 17, between the hours of 9 a. m. and 3:30 p. m. Cans, delivered after this hour will not be counted, 4. This is a "tin can" contest and nothing but tin cans will be counted. 5. The following committee of citizens have ben named to officiate on this day: W. H. Gribble: William Metcalf, Marinus Beauregard, J. II. Mace, J. M. Knighton and O. I. Rasmusson. |
