These suburban localities are thus given the advantages of the grade school . Mrs. Newell Christensen had the Social Circle club for entertainment Wednesday evening at the picture show and afterward for refreshments at the confectionery. The club is to meet with Mrs. Hagan on the afternoon after-noon of the 29th. The schools opened last Monday morning under most favorable auspices. aus-pices. The high school recorded a much larger enrollment on the opening open-ing date than ever, and more than likely another teacher will have to be added to meet the need. The grade schools also showed an attendance beyond expectation and the indication indica-tion is that the accommodations will be taxed this year to the utmost. Apparently a cry for more room is nearing. The cantata, 'A Day In the Woods,' given by the children of the Primary association last Friday evening merited mer-ited a better patronage than it, had. Considering the inconvenience for stage setting the production was remarkably re-markably well presented. By special request the cantata will be repeated tonight, again in the R. S. hall. Trices are reduced to 15 and 10 cents. The proceeds go wholly for charity and for upkeep of the association. |
