Show RUN-AWAY AT WILLARD. Jusun Well' Blood Sllrrcd Up Ollior Xewsy Nult's. Spring is with us. Jason Wells participated in a lively run-away last Holiday. lie had a colt hitched up. In passing through the gate, one of the wagon wheels struck a post, the tongue came down, and for a few minutes Jate's hair stood on end, hut, with his usual coolness and presence of mind, he guided the team into some trees where they were suddenly sud-denly brought to a stand-still. One of the horses received a severe cut on the leg, the harness was broken and the wagon somewhat injured. The "Ashley & Williams' combine played to a poor house Tuesday eve. The Johnson Pros. Co. drew good houses last week. "Uncle Tom's Cabin" was so badly cut that it did not give satisfaction. We appreciate a good play but we like to see a little more than the skeleton skele-ton of it. The U. P. literary society give a grand hall tonight. The "boys" will appear with badges. The society has an enrollment of about hflv. Willard, March -Ith, '92. |
