Two years ago William Lowe, who represented Box Elder county in the Legislature, was badly injured by falling down a stairway in the rear of the city hall, while engaged in his duties as legislator. For six months he was unable to do any work and suflered considerable pain, besides paying heavy doctor bills. lie now asks that, in view of all this, he be awarded damages in the sum of $",000, and proposes to push the suit for all it is worth. It is understood Mr. Lowe complains com-plains that the accident was the i result of the rear yard of the city hall being imperfectly lighted and a cellar door being left carelessly open. Jferald. |
