Show Bald Eagle Wins Suit The case of The Spider Mining Co. vs The Bald Eagle Co. was tried in the district court last week. The plaintiff was represented by the law firm Stewart, Stewart & Alexander the defendant's case was taken cara of by Attorneys Dil worth Woolley of Manti and J. II. McKnight of Nephi. This was an action brought to recover re-cover damages in the sum of $20,000 for ores alleged to have been extracted by the defendant from a mining claim alleged to have been owned by the plaintiff company. The case reached a very sudden and. unexpected end after the plaintiff had taken three days putting in evl-idence, evl-idence, and a stipulation was signed which practically finished the case. The stipulation provided that two engineers would run a line, beginning at the south west corner of what is known as the Emma claim, and taking tak-ing a course north 46 degrees and 10 minutes east; that all property In controversy west of that line should belong to the defendant and property east of that line should belong to plaintiff. It was a signal victory for the defendant, who did not put on a single witness, but knew from a previous pre-vious survey that the land in question ques-tion was west of the line specified in the stipulation Juab Co.
