Show Mr. Rasmusson owns the old Thunne-son Thunne-son place on west Center street and making preparation there to replace the old-time cedar "picket' fence with abetter appearing one. L. H. Erickson has exchanged his home in this city for another in Loa, Wayne county, with Jacob Bastian who has recently moved his family here. Emanuel Landis has sold his farm at Axtel to Martin Peterson, jr. of this city and with his wife and son, Arthur, has returned to his former home In Sterling, Illinois. Mr. Landis Lan-dis states that he has no regret over his having Invested in this valley several sev-eral years ago for a part of what was then Anthony Madsen's farm. He' has made good besides finding the climate inducive in this vicinity to himselfand wife both. Mr. Landis disposed of his farm because of the approach of declining years and a desire de-sire to mingle again with relatives and old associates. He left Monday with the kindliest of feeling toward the people of Gunnison valley while his son will be missed particularly by the local baseball fraternity. LOCAL ECHOES. The T. B. club met Wednesday evening with Miss Minerva Mace. The gathering took sewing in hand while the new installment of the club serial was being read. James Rasmusson, formerly the bishop of Gunnison ward recently sold out his farm east of the depot and is a resident again of this eity . |
