Show LOCAL ECHOES. A merry-go-round broke the monotony monot-ony last night and the little folks had a pleasing diversion for their nickels. C. W. Perkins has been, appointed by the Gunnison City Canal company watermaster for the season. Judge A. N. Cherry is a visitor at Salt Lake to meet his daughter en route from California to reside east. Mayfleld baseball team put it over a local pick at the city park Wednesday Wednes-day by a score IS 0. Captain Jones is having the base bal club meet tonight for the season's seas-on's preparation. All the business men are especially urged to be present pres-ent and thereby lend at least their moral support. At the ward services Sunday last Nephi Gledhill was honorably released re-leased from the position of choir leader. R. Clement Swalberg was sustained to fill the vacancy, with Miss Elma Fjeldsced as organist. Wednesday evening of each week has been designated for choir practice., the first rehearsal being held Wednesday Wed-nesday of this week. Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf entertained belt just west of this city. Swalberg, and, Mrs. Wm. Perkins. The nexjt meeting wili be held with Mrs. J. Salmon on Wednesday, 26th. W. E. Tollestrup, who recently took over the Erickson & Sons store left for Salt Tuesday on business for the concern, Mr. Tollestrup has two, sons and Miss Carrie Anderson installed in-stalled as clerk, each one polite and courteous as himself. Niels C. Myrup My-rup has arranged to own half interest inter-est in the store, which will now bej known under the firm name as formerly for-merly "Gunnison Co-op." I |
