Show CENTERFIELD ITEMS Special Correspondence One case of influenza has developed devel-oped in Centerfield during the past week. The sickness is confined to the home of Sofue Christensen and it is a very mild form. Extra care is being taken by the citizens to prevent pre-vent any spread. The three grades of the district schools were closed some time since and the remaining grades were closed last Monday. This last action ac-tion was taken as a preventative from spreading the "flu," which has again made its appearance here. All public meetings will continue, however, how-ever, and will not be restricted unless un-less serious conditions develop. . Louris Hanson, who has been In the "overseas" service in France, arrived at his home here last Saturday. Satur-day. He received his discharge at Ft. Russell on the 21st inst. Junius S. Embley, who also served his country coun-try in France during the war, arrived arriv-ed at his home Monday of this week. He was released from the service at Ft. Russell last Saturday. Both the young men enlisted at Manti March 2,. 1918, and served in the same division di-vision but in different regiments. Many of the farmers are cutting their first crop oof alfalfa in the hopes of controlling - the alfalfa weevil. In many instances fairly good crops are being cut. |
