Show GREAT FUTURE , FOR VALLEY "Gunnison Valley is without doubt one of the most promising valleys in the state and with the progression that is now displayed throughout the entire section, there is no question in my mind but that it will be a matter mat-ter of a very short time it will be the richest, prettiest and be.it in the entire en-tire s!ate. I live just made a trip through the southern section, the first in many years, and I want to say all of the parts I visited look3 mighty good to me, but right here in Gunnison valley you have the big gest future of any part." The above was the expression of A. M. Buchanan, the wholesale stationer sta-tioner of Salt Lake. He was just returning re-turning from the south where he had been in the interest of his concern. "It has been several years since I visited Gunnison," continued Mr. Buchanan, "and the little town has grown wonderfully. Not alone has the town progressed and beautiful homes built, but the valley throughout through-out shows that you have an up-to-date class of people here as farmers And you still have room for enpan-sion. enpan-sion. There is mucli land yet to be put under cultivation and I understand under-stand this is being planned every day. The formation of a drainage district has about been completed. With this carried to a successful issue is-sue find the vast acreage of waterlogged water-logged land again reclaimed and put under cultivation, means unlimited resources to the farmers and all. "Your sugar factory and your alfalfa al-falfa meal mill, just on the last stages of completion, will be a wonderful won-derful addition. When these are finally fin-ally under way and in operation, many will find employment and your population is sure to increase double fold. I have no hesitancy in predicting predict-ing a big future for your valley." |
