Show FILL YOUR COAL BINS. P:rple of Utah Should Lay in Winter S .;;ply at Once. Order your winter coal now. The Utah Fuel administrator, V.'. W. Armstrong, Arm-strong, is u;t;i:: in every possible way the storage of coal by the household consumer. In addition to the usual and very poti at argument In favor of this practice, ;hore are at this moment in Utah -three special reasons. First. The freight rates on coal from the mines will advance 25 per cent on June 23, or practically 40 cents a ton. Second. The price at the mine on lump and nut was advanced by the government order on March 11, but the producers in Utah, in order to encourage encour-age Uie storage campaign, did not take advantage of this advance. It Is indicated, in-dicated, however, that they will do so not later than July 1, Which would add another So cents per ton to the price. Third. The crop reports indicate an extraordinarily heavy yield of grain, potatoes, fruit and other products, which will burden the railroads at the beginning of the cold weather. This is likely to result in the shortage of transportation facilities, and consequent conse-quent shortage in coal. In view of the above statement, Mr. Armstrong wants every person ti place his coal order in writing with his local coal dealers for sufticicnt coal to fill his bins, and to do it NOW. |
