Kelly presided. Singing Sing-ing by the choir. Prayer by Elder John Christensen. Singing. Sacrament Sacra-ment administered by the priesthood priest-hood of the. Second Ward. Elder '.V. L. Watkins read the 4th chapter chap-ter of St. Mark. Singing. Elder James Pett was the first speaker. Referred to reading of the scriptures by EUer Watkins. Spoke of his early experience in the church in 1851. Thought there had been a great falling oft since his initiation into the church. Spoke of the former difficulties in traveling on sea and land and especially in traveling across the plains, a distance of a little over a thousand miles, where there were an abundance of trials all the way. Hoped we all might prove true and faithful. Elder M. W. Dalton of Wiilard, was the next speaker. Said we must seek the aid of the Holy 1 Spirit in order that we may receive the blessings of the Lord. Referred Refer-red to the fidelity of the Prophet Daniel; his devotion in prayer and the result in being placed in high" and responsible positions. Also spoke of the labors of the Savior while here on the earth. Hoped that we would not get disunited on account of political influences that are now in our midst. Spoke of the gathering of Israel from Kgypt and the blessings bless-ings and promises made to the seed of Ephraim and Manassch. There are eminent men who are taking a deep interest in t he Latter-day Latter-day work. We expect there will be a still greater enquiring in the future. Was deeply interested in the spread ol the work among the Indiana in the United States, Mexico and South America. We should always be thankful to the Lord who is the great provider for His people. Spoke of the wisdom of Joseph Smith in providing the necessaries of life in a time of famine that all Israel might be sustained; and thus was fulfilled the promise made to them by dreams and visions to their protector. Referred to the binding of family ties and the great work being done by those who are sent out to preach the gospel. The choir sang an anthem, "How , Lovely are their Feet."
