Baker is now employing nearly a dozen miners on the (lar-held (lar-held group of claims, which lie five mile; north of Brigham, They are getting a big pile of good silver-, lead ore on the dumps and by the opening of spring will have a large ijuanlity ready for shipment. Mr. B.iker has no duiibts but what he has struck a bonanza and will push it lor all it is worth. Years ago, soon after the first settlement of Brigham, a silver mine was found in that vicinity and considerable valuable ore was -dug out. Mr. Baker is now pushing the operations opera-tions on a more extensive scale and is slowly but surely boring into the very bowels of the mountains, where he is sanguine large deposits of hidden hid-den treasures will be found. |
