Show Gunnison Valley Products Among Exhibits at Inland Empire Exposition. Salt Lake City, Oct. 7. The Utah state fair this year excels all previous records of the association in both exhibit and amusement. The fair grounds yesterday and in the evening wore crowded with visitors in celebration of Salt Lake day. The buildings, all brightly deoorated, were paoked in every department and t,he racs track view stands were thronged for the attractions there. Among the numerous displays in agriculture is noticed an attrac tiive exhibit of Gunnison valley products by Spalding-Livingston Investments company. Large crowd3 of visitors stop to admire it and are handed folders descriptive of the great agricultural agri-cultural possibilities of our valley. The exhibit includes -ome ffue specimens speci-mens of wheat, alfalfa, buckwheat, potatoes, sugar beets, cabbage, carrots, apples, peaches, plums, crab apples, etc. Erastns Peterson supervisor super-visor of the experiment farm was among the attendants who hud the opportunity of explaining about the rich soil and good climate of Gunnison Gunni-son valley. The exhibit was arranged rather late for an elaborate display but it is serving to bring Gunnison valley to the notice of many thousands of people. The exhibitors are to be commended for their enterprise in this direction which our local commercial com-mercial club would do well to emulate. |
