Show A City Ticket Nominated. Saturday evening last there convened con-vened at the town hall between twenty and thirty citizens in response to a notice issued by the town couucil for a citizens nominating convention, the object being to place a ticket naming the officers to be voted upon at the special election on August 2, in connection con-nection with the question of incorporating incorpor-ating as a city. An attempt had been made through the day to convey notioe of the meeting meet-ing to every home in the town. There being so few present an effort was put forth to have the meeting postponed, post-poned, but it beini? Baown that the time would expire that night for filing of nominatio8, business proceeded pro-ceeded and a ticket was accordingly formulated and duly filed. If not satisfactory, the oitizens objecting will have the alternative of taking satisfaction in scratching, or writing, on the official ballot their choice. H. M. Childs was chosen as chairman chair-man of the meeting and Nephi Gled bill secretary. Nominations for mayor were extended to Marinus Beauregard, Nephi Gleahill and Anthony Metcalf. Mr. Gledhill declining, de-clining, balloting proceeded on the two remaining nominees, resulting in the choice of Mr. Metcalf, present inoumbent. Neither of the two candidates were present and Mr. Beauregard'B name was U9ed in face of protest from his son, who declared emphatically that his father would not accept the honor. The five councilmen were chosen from among eight nominees, the recorder re-corder from four, while treasurer and justice were selected by acclamation.
