Utah. July 3, 1009. To the Honorable Board of county Commissioners. Com-missioners. Sanpete County State of Utah. 'Gontlemeu: Wo, the undersigned, petitioners peti-tioners respectfully reprehutas CoUpws! "That we, and each of us are real property taxpayer and qualified electors of Gunnison, Sanpete tounty. State of Utah, and that we and ech of us reside within the territory and boundary lines of the hereinafter proposed Gunnison City ; that wt are desirous of organizing or-ganizing into a city, the territory hereinafter described and of incorporating for said purpose; that a descrittlon by mc9-s and bounds of the territory to be embraced in the said proposed city as follows, to-wit: "Beginning at the quarter corner between sections seven (7) and eight (8), Twp. 19 South, KaagelEast of Halt Lake Meridian. Thence running South One Hundred and EMghfcy-thri-c indite J00 chains, thence South 8ydeg.3umin. East Two Hundred chains, thence North One Hundred and Elghty-flvo and 05100 chains to center of Section 10. Twp, 19 South, Range 1 East, thence West Two Hundred chains to 1 place of beginning, "Hereunto annexed you will also find an accurate ac-curate map or plat of the territory proposed to be Incorporated as aforesaid; that the name proposed for laid city so as aforesaid to be ln-corportedls ln-corportedls Gunnison City; hereunto annexed annex-ed you will find the affidavit of five citizens, real property taxpayers and qualified electors ; and residents of the said described territory, stating the number of inhabitants residing within the territory embraced In said proposed pro-posed limits. 'WHEBEORE, we respectfully pray: "1st, That the Honorable Board aforesaid forthwith designate the the class of said proposed pro-posed city. "2nd. That the said board fix the time and place within tbe boundaries of said proposed city at which the election may be held to determine said question of incorporation, "3rd. That the said Board of Couuty Commissioners Com-missioners give notice of said election by publication in the Gunnison Gazette, a news paper published wit bin the proposed limits of said proposed elty, at least once a week for fonr successive weeks, and also give notice of the results of such election if for incorporation. incorpor-ation. "4th. That said notice of said election contain con-tain a statement of the contents of this petition peti-tion and describe the territory proposed to be incorporated and the officers to be elected and also that said notice designate the time ann place at whioh the election will be held. "And your Petitioners will ever pray." Followlbg which said petition and attached thereto is the uames of One Hundred and Nine (108) petitioners, who are real property taxpayers and qualified electors residing within tbe territory embraced within the said proposed Gunnison City. Also the affidavits of five qualified electors residing within tnesald territory proposed to be embraced witbin the said proposed Gunnison Gun-nison City, setting out that the population ol thesaid proposed city and tbe territory within with-in the said proposed boundary lines, is One Thousand U00 . petition and made a part thereof, an accurate ac-curate mape and plat of the territory within the proposed boundary lines ot the said proposed pro-posed Gunnison City, forms a part of the contents con-tents of the said petition, At the time of holding said election as aforesaid, rtbe qualified voters within the proposed corporate limits, shall vote for the following municipal officers, to-wit: One Mayor, five City Councllmen, one City Bee ,-rder, one City Treasurer, and one Justice of tbe Peace, to serve until the hext municipal munici-pal election and until their successors shall be duly elected and qualified, Polls will open at seven (7) o'clock a, m. on the said 2nd day of August, 1809. and will close at seven (7) o'clock p. m, on the said day.
