Show ! District Court Sessisn Held By Judge Greenwood The district court oonrened in Manti Tuesday with Judge Greenwood Green-wood of the Fifth district on the bench. The purpose of this session of oourt was to hear and dispose of matters in which Judge Christenaon was disqualified. The first case was that of the town of Gunnison against H. A. Snaoot, which came up on appeal fiou the justice's court in Gunnison precinct. Smoot was convicted in the lower court of carrying on the husiness of a merchant in Gunnison without a licen6e aud was fiued S35, and he took an appeal. The case was dismissed because of error in taking appeal. One of the witnesses for the defence was brought from Texas to testify in the case. In the matter of the estate of Caroline Caro-line D. Nieleon, deoeased, the final account of the admistrator was allowed allow-ed and settled and the residue of the estate was ordered distributed to the persons entitled thereto under the law In the case of McCuue et al, vs J. C, Livicgston, et al, demurrer argued and taken under advisement. In the case of Christenson et al, va , Cunningham et al. defence wiven 20 days to file answer to complaint. |
