Show TWO TRAIN LOADS OF COAL. During the past two weeks, L. T. Peirce, agent for the LI. P. coal, has had seventeen carloads of coal shipped ship-ped into this city. That is equal to two train loads. The coals disappearing dis-appearing as fast as a handful of wheat thrown before a flock of hungry chickens. Cause: the freight rates will be raised fifty cents per ton on and after next Monday. Mon-day. This will necessitate a raise of fifty cents per ton on all coal. This was the price in vogue before the re-due tion last year. |
