The Tabernacle services last Sunday afternoon were not very well attended. Stake President li. Clawson presided. Singing by the choir. Prayer by Elder Brigham Brig-ham Jensen. Singing. Sacra men I administered by the Priesthood of the Fourth Ward. Counsel lor CI 1.1 s. Kelly read the seventh chapter of Moroni in the Book of Mormon. Singing by the choir. President Clawson first occupied occu-pied the stand. Desired the support . of the Saints, as it is the duty of the Saints to assist those who speak to the people. Spoke of the visit of the Presidency to the western part of this Stake. Cave the distance that some of the Saints have to travel to meet with one another and enjoy the Spirit of the Gospel. Referred to the carelessness care-lessness of some of the members in all of the wards of the Stake, Brigham City not excepted. It is the right of all the S;;iots to obtain a celestial glory, but do we all labor to that end? Referred to the shortness of life and how incumbent incum-bent it was for all to be prepared for any emergency of the Providence Provi-dence of God. The religion of Christ is worthy of our strictest attention, in order to obtain the reward of the faithful. Described the beautiful view to be se n by climbing the rugged mountains near hy and compared this with the view in looking over the road we travel on in the lives we live as members of this church. Let us all be faithful. Counsellor Kelly was the next speaker. In looking over the congregation con-gregation some were sleepy ; referred to a cure for that complaint in a mischievous boy who threw apples at those who were sleepy to wake them up. Spoke also of the visit among .the Saints in the outside settlements. Referred to one case of transgression that was dealt with and d is fellowship followed. There is a good feeling in these outside settlements, notwithstanding notwithstand-ing their little failings. Referred to the financial sih'tion: told all to be careful and keep out of debt.
