Show j MEXICANS WORRY COLONISTS. Government Troops Charged With Encroachments En-croachments and Indignities. Douglas, Ariz. Bishop O. P. Brosvn, who was asked by Senators Smoot and Fall to investigate conditions in the Mormon colonies at Colonia Morelos and Colonia Oxaca, returned here Monday with sworn statements from prominent Mormons charging the Mexican Mex-ican government troops with alleged encroachments and indignities. According to the data compiled by Mr. Brown, the colonists were astted to furnish horses and payment was re- j fused by Generals San Jinez and Blanco, Blan-co, the federal commanders. The Mormons steadfastly objected to giving giv-ing their property and the federals finally obtained Mexican horses. The situation, however, was by no means cleared and friction is looked for'con-j for'con-j Btantly. |
