Show Engineer Victim of Accident. Phoenix, Ariz.- A. H. Demrick, an electrical engineer in charge of all electrical and power construction under un-der the Hall River valley reclamation project, was drowned on Sunday in the sluicing tunnel six hundred feet long, which was cut through a solid mountain at the end of the Roosevelt storage dam. A. L. Harris, chief assistant as-sistant to Engineer Smith, in charge of the construction at Roseville, was swept through the tunnel with him, but emerged into the river without serious injury. Some one turned the water into the tunnel while the men were on a tour of inspection. |
