Show Insurance Man in Trouble. Paris. James Hazen Hyde, of New York, former vice-president of the Equitable Life Assurance society, and his chauffeur, Ladwic. were on May 2 condemned by default. Mr. Hyde to one month's imprisonment and a fine of $100, and Ladwic to a month's imprisonment im-prisonment and a fine of $30. They .were charged with running into a public pub-lic taxicab last October and injuring a passenger. The complainants charged that after the accident Ladwic Lad-wic sped away. |
