(Signed) WILLIAM SPRY, GoTeroor. a proclamation for the celebration of Utah day is which he recommends that the men, women and childreu of the stato devote their attention to the subject of Utah and her industrias and join in spreading abroad b good word for the state of Utah, Plarjs for this day were outlined at a recent meeting cf the Utah Development Develop-ment league and Utah' Press association, associa-tion, and Governor Spry haB been at all times in hearty accord with the movement. Following is the Governor's Gov-ernor's proclamation. By the Governor of the State of Utah, A Recommendation. Concurring in the suggestion of the Utah Development league that a day be celebrated in the interests of Utah, I, William Spry, Governor, do hereby recommend that Thursday, April 25, 1912, be observed by the people of this state as ' 'Utah Day," Filled with promise asan occasion upon which state and commuuity loyalty loy-alty may 6nd inspiration and encouragement encour-agement ; ri eh in possibility as a time for state and commuuity uplift, the day should appeal strongly to the people peo-ple of tiie state, I especially commend com-mend Utah day audits objects to the educators of the state, urging upon them the excellent opportunity it will afford to direct the thoughtful attention atten-tion of the children to the magnificent magnifi-cent resourses of our commonwealth. Public meetings devoted to a discussion discus-sion of "Utah" are recommended, and all are urged to join in spreading abroad among their friends and acquaintances ac-quaintances a good word for Utah.
