At the left end of the tank is the bottling bot-tling table. There are five large windows on the opposite end of the building from the tank, and in front of this is the rack for drying the utensils. In one corner of this end of the building is a washing table and a small stove for heating wash water, and in the other corner is the churn and worker, me table on which Is made the prints, and an ice box in which the butter but-ter is temporarily stored. The ice house is adjacent to the dairy building, build-ing, which makes it very convenient in securing ice. The accompanying drawing shows Dur dairy room. It Is in a separate auilding from the barn and is connected con-nected to the milking room by a short covered passage. This passage las swinging doors at each end and ;he milk can be carried from the cows :o the dairy without being exposed to :he outside air. The cooling tank is connected by a ;pout to the pump and water is kept lowing through the tank whenever here is sufficient wind to run the vindmill. It is made of cement and s composed of three compartments, vrites E. H. Hicks, in Farm and Some. In the smaller end we keep he cream cans and in the larger end he milk cans. The central section is divided off rom the others by wooden partitions, n which there are four holes six nches in diameter. It is from this cental cen-tal portion that we take water for cashing utensils and scrubbing the loors. The floor is made of cement and pery easily kept clean. It is not corrugated cor-rugated or creased, and is easily rinsed off after each milking. At the right fide of the tank Is the eparator. The cream spout is long enough to reach to the cream cans in |
