Show CLEAN UP OR BE TAKEN UP. And if ta'en up one must clean up, anyhow. That's the order given to the city authorities in Gunnison yesterday by State Sanitary Inspector Frank Jordan, who has spent th9 past two days on a round of inspection inspec-tion in this city. Mr. Jordan states the condition I found here is such that it is imperative impera-tive 'a general cleanup of premises, and especially the business parts, be ordered. He fears, a recurrence of the smallpox with the advent of cold weather if this is not done. The city health board has promised, he states, to enforce an order in conformity con-formity with his hudiDgs, Flies abound in large numbers and he attributes at-tributes the cause to filth and litter that naeds to be taken off and destroyed. destroy-ed. Ty phoid and other diseases are getting a foothold and if not checked will become a menance to the general community. He very wisely urges that notice be taken of such action bh the city health board,-may adopt and a united effort put forth to check .the spread of disease now threatening the neighborhood. |
