Stewart and Prof. Whiting, in response to our editorial edi-torial last week, have informed us that they would be only too glad to meet with the citizens of Brig-bam Brig-bam (,'ity and lay before them the immense importance of re-uniting our four districts into one strong school district and then erecting a commodious central school building. build-ing. They can plainly see that such ti step would raise our educational edu-cational facilities several rounds up the ladder of learning. The professors, pro-fessors, so kindly consenting to take upon themselves this labor, show the presence of that feeling found in every successful teacher to step uside at any time to advance the caupe of education. Now the matter mat-ter rests ontirely with our local lights of learning. Shall we take hold of this vital matter, or, instead, in-stead, turn down our lamps, lie supinely back and by our inactivity inactiv-ity thrust our town onee more back to wallow in the dark ages of education? |
