The National Copper bank of Salt Luke announces its intention to award the boy producing the best potatoes, claiming '.bat it is not generally appreciated ap-preciated bow much we loee each year by devoting ao much of cur irrigated irri-gated lands to the raising of wheat and bo little to tie raising of potatoes and other email crops which yield higher returns. Following is the offer : The National Copper bank will give in 1912 and succeed iug years, a prize to the boy under eighteen who can raise the be&t potatoes. There will be $100 iu cash aud the nilver trophy cup--a beautiful und costly piece of workmanship c n which will be eDgraved each year, the name of the winner, his address, and the variety of potatoes he raised and the number of bushels per acre, If a boy wiusthe cup three times in succession suc-cession he is entitled- to keep the cup permanently and a new oue will be offered in its place. The boy making the highest score iu each coucty will receive a recognition the details of which the bank is not ready to discuss, dis-cuss, for its plans ou this point are uot completed.
