Show The members of Gunnison Y. L. M. association are preparing a big time for their annual opening n6xt Tuesday night. A pleasing program will ba rendered and refreshments tendered all who attend say everybody. every-body. All are welcome; more, the merrier. K K K Mrs. A. G. Lund, formerly Miss Cornelia Sorenson of this city, and children returned to her home at Prove Pro-ve yesterday after spending a week here visiting relatives. With ber husband Mrs. Lund hud the pleasure and distinction of being numbered among the party accompanying President Pres-ident Anthou H. Lund on hiB recent trip to Europe. N R K Elmer E. Kearns, missionary from Gunnison ward and cow in California, Califor-nia, will soon be the glad recipient of a purse of forty dollars, the generous contribution at a party held in his honor last evening under au3pices of the Relief society. The Gunnison or ohestra dispensed pleasing music, Ernest Swalberg sung one of his usual us-ual good pieces, MissLucile Sorenson gave a pretty organ selection, Miss Vera Edwards recited outely, and a couple of excellent readings were rendered. These with addresses from members of the bishopric made up a program of interest, followed by a light refreshment. K R Mrs, Elizabeth Peterson was a ' visitor vis-itor at Manti last Tuesday.. una The Scandinavian reunion at Richfield Rich-field had a splendid delegation from Gunnison, Centerfield and Mayfield, all loud in praise of the royal welcome they were tendered in connection with the two days of enjoyable program pro-gram afforded. You should have seen Dr. Caroline Stow Merwin and hear her tell about Chinese customs and Chinese Chi-nese people. Dr, Merwin 's depiction of these strange paople was given from actual experience among them, she being connected with the Presbyterian Presbyteri-an mission established at Tsi-Nan, Shan-Tung, Chiua.
