Show The Jail Bird. It was a splendid greeting that me our local players last Friday evening at their presentation of "The Jail Bird." The opera house was simp'y packed and the audienue the most enthusiastic seen here for some time. Thi company can hardly feel otherwise other-wise than encouraged, with such a signal recognition on the part of the public. The play was put on to help the school's coutigent fuud aad it is expected others will follow, especially since the company all took their parts so well. Frauds in the role of Solomon Isaacs and Mips Parshal that of Mrs. Babbleton took the house by suprise the way they handled the comedy. 'Tt was beautiful I" Holladay, Swalberg, Thompson and Mus Jensen were alive to their parts in sustaining Mr. Embley, who hid the leading role and acquitted his part, "The Jail Bird, "'with a talent quite uulooked for. In both ma ke un and action C. E. Ferre suited the juvenile part of Bob.. |
