Show FOR OIR BOYS. j They Should he I'rovldeit Willi a Con-I Con-I yeulcnl Battling IMrp. There are between 300 and -100' i boys in Brigham City. All of i these youngsters have a burning j desire to "go swimming" during the warm months of summer. They ought to be encouraged in this cleanly sport and even trained in , the manly art of swimming. Now j here are several hundred restless bits of humanity with no place to satisfy this wholesome desire. If i they are caught defiling the cool waters of Boxelder Creek, or showing show-ing their nude little bodies at the Big Pond they are liable to be chucked into ths cooler. Their only alternative is to abandon the healthy practice, or tramp way out to the itchy, stagnant sloughs west of town; or still worse, go out "to the dangerous old Bear River. The boys ought to have some convenient con-venient and safe place near town for bathing. The Big Pond or some other handy place should be fixed up for their benefit. This swimming habit will tend to make better men of our boys and keep them out of much mischief. We should bear in mind that the boys of today are the men of tomorrow. Don't overlook the needs of our boys. |
