Show proposed subdivision for green river delayed city council fails to make satisfactory water sewer agreement the city council failed to come up tip with a satisfactory water and sewer agreement last week for a proposed subdivision which would bring an estimated invest ment into green river the ision was proposed by malcolm jr who with his ins father malcolm sr owns the prop erty on which the project is to be built malcolm jr reported that complete financing for the pro eject had been arranged and that just as soon as a satisfactory agree ment with the city council for the water and sewer connections can be reached work would commence immediately several council members have attempted to explain the present water and sewer ordinance which pertains to building extensions and etc but does not deal with a sub division so far the project has been delayed two weeks because the coun cil ell failed to come up with a definite decision devere curtis mayor of green river made a trip to salt lake city the first of to mr ur dale despain a planning engin eer who designed green river s or din finances ances to see what could be done mayor curtis reported that dale despain suggested that the ider put in the complete water and sewer system according to the pro pre sent ordinance and that the sub divider pay an additional 2500 25 00 per connection to the city for inspecting the connections mayor curtis stated that this did not seem to clarify the situation and that he planned to call mr despain thursday morning and find out what the possibilities would be of getting a subdivision ordinance drawn up we certainly hope that this is the answer and that something is done mighty quick it would be a shame for green river to lose this eunity of getting some housing fac which we desperately need just because the city could not come up with a satisfactory agreement to furnish water and sewer right across the street from their new 00 school building and in their number one residence zone |
