This district dis-trict has now three schools running. run-ning. They are in charge of able teachers, and the pupils ought to make good progress the coming season. An excellent program was rendered ren-dered by the schools on Columbus Day. In the evening the little , folks danced till they were tired. Chris. Christensen, Willord H. Andersen and a few others have taken up homestead i in Faust Valley. They expect to get their water supply from wells. The surrounding sur-rounding hills are well adapted for grazing and there is also considerable con-siderable good farming land. If water can be obtained by means of wells, no doubt many homesteads will be taken up in Blue Creek Vallc', in the near future. : Not long ago three of our ''sports" borrowed (?) a buggy and went to Corinne. After getting there they took more beer than the horse would pull. The cayuse upset the vehicle with its occupants; kicked himself loose and ran home with part of the shafts. The boys followed as fast as they could with the rest of the rig. Y. Bf.ar RivF.it City, Oct. 27th. |
